Job Title: IT Specialist

Department: Operations

Reports To: Office Manager

Job Type: Non-exempt/Part-time

Overview: This position is responsible for providing various types of IT support to all departments. The individual in this role will coordinate between the employees and external vendors and contractors about IT-related infrastructure and development. They will also consult with our employees on any issues that might come up and advise about potential fixes or efficiency controls. The person in this role should be a responsive, highly productive professional who can work with numerous employees and vendors to ensure continued success through corporate projects.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess infrastructure on a regular basis to ensure it continues to meet necessary demand
  • Manage daily operation of the IT department
  • Develop new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency, enhance workflow and improve customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate the needs of employees, vendors and contractors
  • Protect customer data from outside infiltration through encryption, secure data storage and other necessary means
  • Assist with the installation of new hardware and software and help train employees on its use

Other Duties:

  1. Installing new software and hardware components.
  2. Regularly evaluating our IT systems to ensure they meet the necessary demands.
  3. Assisting with network administration tasks.
  4. Ensuring data storage is safe and secure.
  5. Resolving all issues coworkers have with their IT systems and software

Qualifications:  Excellent IT, communication, leadership and project management skills are required. Must have a proven track record of maintaining IT structural integrity. It is required that the person in this role be proficient in Mac operating systems, as well as those used for PC functions. Must have a good general understanding of the following programs and applications: Slack, Dropbox, Office 365, WordPress, and RingCentral.

Education/Experience:  Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field required. Those working towards this degree will also be considered for the role. Industry certifications and memberships are a plus.

What You Will Do:

The Digital/eComm Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining an online business for Honey Mama’s. Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Department: Production

Reports To: Director of Manufacturing

Job Type: Exempt

Overview: The Quality Assurance Manager provides strong leadership and direction to the plant in Food Safety, Product Quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices.  The Quality Assurance Manager will lead the Quality department, be responsible for building a team according to Company budgetary parameters and developing the team and departmental policies. The Quality Assurance Manager reports to the CEO.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the on-going review and assessment of the SQF system.
  • The Quality Assurance Manager develops, validates and maintains the Food Safety Plan
  • The Quality Assurance Manager reviews the SQF system throughout the year to measure the effectiveness of the Prerequisite Programs, the Level 2 Food Safety Plan, other food safety controls and the Food Quality Plan.
  • The Quality Assurance Manager Practitioner is responsible for assuring that employees comply with the functions as outlined in the Food Safety Plan and are properly trained in the requirements.
  • The Quality Assurance Manager will review the SQF 2000 code annually to ensure the SQF system is updated to meet all required elements
  • Development and implementation of food safety, plant security for food safety, environmental and quality programs.
  • Prepare and manage to an annual departmental budget.
  • Responsible to implement approved plans and programs to achieve overall company objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Coach and train employees on GMP’s.
  • Enforce GMP’s to maintain a quality product manufactured in safe environment and meeting all targeted requirements.
  • Establish, maintain, and enforce company quality standards.

  • Ensure that appropriate standard operating procedures (SOP’s) are developed and maintained for all aspects of food process, food safety, raw materials, finished food and customer specifications.
  • Responsible for the Food Security Policy/Program to assess potential food security risks and to ensure food security preventive measures are being implemented and routinely audited regarding the manufacturing, handling and storage of all food ingredients as well as finished goods.
  • Responsible for effective customer communication and coordination of customer driven requests.

  • Annual and Customer Food Safety Audits including initial certification under the GFSI

  • Research & qualify vendors through facilitation, training and vendor audit programs. Approve & monitor chosen suppliers of ingredients & packaging via vendor assurance and quality monitoring programs including sampling, testing and reporting on raw material
  • Responsible for the overall succession planning.
  • Manage any and all HOLDS and product, material disposition in compliance with Food Safety and Finance requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures in area of Supervision
  • Management and Leadership of continuous improvement projects/programs.

  • Facilities management as it pertains to food safety program.

Other Duties

  • The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for continued support of 3PL implementation and transition of shipping department duties.

2 to 5 years experience in quality assurance at a food manufacturing facility. Candidate must possess excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.  Flexibility and the ability to remain organized, establish a plan and execute on Company priorities is required.  Commitment to steadily improving the organization and creating an outstanding performance-based work environment is also required.  Must be certified in HACCP.

Join Our Shipping Team!

Job Title: Shipping Manager

Department: Shipping

Reports To: Director of Manufacturing

Job Type: Non-Exempt

Overview: This position functions within the daily shipping and logistical operations. You will lead a team to ensure complete orders are built, shipped, and delivered in adherence to appropriate deadlines. A successful shipping manager is analytical, well-organized, and excels in communication, both vertically and laterally. The person in this role must be comfortable with paperwork and information systems, and have a thorough understanding of shipping and receiving procedures. The goal is to ensure that the shipping department runs smoothly, effectively, and within the parameters set forth by the company.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1.  Management and maintenance of shipping-related documents such as advanced shippig notices, bills of lading, pick slips, invoices, etc.
  2. Use of necessary software to ship, track, check, prioritize, and route orders.
  3. Inspection of labels, barcodes, lot codes, and other features of completed orders to ensure necessary traceability efforts set forth by our SQF Level 2 Certification.
  4. Generation of accurate invoices for any and all shipments in accordance with the company’s standards to ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies.
  5. Communication with other managers outside of the shipping department to ensure coordination of other functions such as production, inventory management, and quality assurance.
  6. Resolution of issues regarding shipped orders and maintenance of excellent customer service in alignment with Honey Mama’s bran.
  7. Forwarded PO’s to necessary personnel to assist with inventory management and scheduling needs.
  8. Organization and oversight of entire shipping department from personnel to physical warehouse space.

Hours: 9am-5pm

Target wage with production incentive: $13.25 per hour

We’re grounded in a commitment to creating delightfully nourishing products. Nourish~Delight is the essence of all we do and the core of our production approach. Job Summary:

As a Packager, you will be part of the Honey Mama’s production team that “gift wraps” Honey Mama’s raw honey chocolate bars, with intentionality, efficiency, and impeccability. This position works closely with other packaging team members to wrap, case, and seal the “bee’s knees” of chocolate treats.

Qualifications:

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Have knowledge of safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours, frequent wrist twists, and occasionally lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to continuously work with your hands at a rapid pace for the entirety of your shift.
  • Production experience in a food manufacturing environment is beneficial but not required.
